BRIEF: Azerbaijani mobile phone operator to prepare network for Eurovision 2012 [Trend News Agency, Baku, Azerbaijan](Trend News Agency (Azerbaijan) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Jan. 07--Azerbaijani mobile phone operator Azerfon Company Ltd. prepares network infrastructure for Eurovision-2012, Elshad Farzaliyev, the company's corporate communications manager, told Trend on Saturday. "Currently work on amplifying network in public places of the capital, in airport, arterial highway to airport and in residencies of the capital's guests is underway, Farzaliyev said. All three mobile phone operators were instructed by the Azerbaijani ministry of communications and IT in Dec, 2011 to get prepared for the upcoming 2012 Eurovision song contest in Baku. The operators, apart from rendering qualitative services were instructed to organize distribution of short information messages to phone numbers of roaming using clients who will be on the guest network of local operators during the contest. The messages should contain information on the contest's internet-resource, telephone inquiry office as well as contact details and other necessary information on the embassies of the countries, whose citizens will be in Baku during the contest.
