JMT Consulting Group Announces a New and Improved INNOVATE 2012 Nonprofit Accounting Conference to be held in Philadelphia, PA on October 3-4, 2012

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Patterson, NY (PRWEB) June 27, 2012 JMT Consulting Group, the nation’s leading nonprofit technology consulting firm, is announcing a new format for its popular INNOVATE conference. The theme for INNOVATE 2012 is “Developing a High Performance Nonprofit Organization” and will feature content for everyone in a nonprofit accounting department, from the CFO to the newest team members. This year’s conference features a new Leadership Track focused on best practices in nonprofit financial management, a new Masters Track for advanced users of Sage 100 Fund Accounting software (formerly MIP), and a track geared toward newer users of Sage 100 Fund Accounting. In addition, the conference will feature the latest cloud-based applications, offering attendees a glimpse into the future of nonprofit technology for accounting, fundraising, project management, productivity, and more.

In keeping with the innovative new format, the keynote address will be given by Kevin Monroe of X Factor Consulting, a noted speaker on the issue of nonprofit sustainability. Kevin will be discussing how nonprofit accounting professionals can have a major impact on the world through incremental changes that raise performance and enable organizational achievement. “I titled the presentation “Higher Performance for a Higher Purpose” because I want people to know that you don’t have to be on the front lines of a nonprofit organization to make a difference,” said Kevin Monroe. “Some of the most impactful work in a nonprofit organization is accomplished by the unsung heroics of staff that come to work each day looking for a better, more efficient way to operate.” The new CFO track is designed for organizational leaders in nonprofit accounting and finance, regardless of the accounting software they use, and will feature topics such as “Educating Your Board on Financial Matters”, “Seven Habits of Successful CFO’s”, and “Attracting Funding through Financial Transparency”. On Day 2 of the conference, these leaders will have an opportunity to learn about the latest technologies in nonprofit management, such as cloud-based applications that lower IT costs while enabling anytime/anywhere access to data, real-time data monitoring, and the highest levels of security and backup. JMT Consulting Group is a leading provider of cloud-based applications to the nonprofit community, and has already moved its back-office systems to the cloud.

The Masters Track is designed for advanced users of Sage 100 Fund Accounting who are looking for innovative techniques to improve their department’s efficiency and effectiveness using this award-winning software. This track is a collaboration between JMT consultants and several advanced client users, who will demonstrate effective strategies for system optimization in a case study format.

In years past, INNOVATE has provided many valuable experiences to the Sage Fund Accounting user community. “I always leave INNOVATE with a new technique to make our AP and AR process more streamlined,” said Lisa Ramirez of Wyandotte Nation. “Our organization looks forward to attending because they cover everything from step-by-step instructions, to more intense sessions, and because you get individualized time with their consultants.” Much of the format that made INNOVATE a successful conference has been retained, such as the Sage Fund Accounting user training track and the one-on-one time with consultants to solve organization-specific dilemmas. This year, the goal is to expand the impact of the event, not just within each client organization, but with nonprofit financial leaders outside the JMT community.

The annual conference will be held on October 3rd and 4th in downtown Philadelphia, PA at the Sonesta Hotel. Festivities will kick off with a networking reception on the evening of October 2nd. Attendance fees vary, so consult http://www.jmtconsulting.com/innovate for more information.
