ILINK's revenue outlook for second-half rosy

Aug 10, 2012 (Bangkok Post - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Interlink Communication (ILINK), the MAI-listed telecommunication network system design company, believes its revenue this year will hit its target of 1.5 billion baht as a result of higher demand driven by the auction of third-generation (3G) licences in October.

Interlink's first-half consolidated revenue was 687 million baht, up by 9.67% from 627 billion the same period last year. Net profit was 47.1 billion baht (42 satang a share), up by 41.3% from 33.3 billion (33 satang a share) year-on-year.

President Sombat Anantarumporn attributed the revenue growth to higher demand for network distribution and the lower corporate income tax rate cut of 23%.

Mr Sombat said the company expects telecommunication network installation to explode in the second half, especially with the fourth-quarter 3G broadband licensing auction. Demand for network installation operators will jump after the auction, continuing into next year, he said.

He expects the company to join in the bidding of telecommunication projects worth 10 billion baht.

He said the company's revenue should rise over 30% in 2013 while in 2014, revenue from its subsidiary, Interlink Telecom, will help drive overall revenue to gain 50% over this year. In 2015 with the advent of the Asean Economic Community, company revenue should double from this year.

ILINK shares closed on the Market for Alternative Investment at 8.75 baht, down 5 satang, in light trade worth 868,000 baht.
