BRIEF: 6 men sought in Game Stop robbery

Police are looking for six men who robbed a video game store.
Six armed men held employees at gunpoint around 9:45 p.m. Dec. 21 at Game Stop, 1285 N. Brightleaf Blvd. The men took an undisclosed amount of cash, video games and game consoles along with employees' personal property, according to Smithfield police.
The robbers ran away and no one was injured in the holdup, Lt. Keith Powell said in a Friday news release. Store surveillance cameras captured images of at least one of the gunmen.
Police describe the robber seen in surveillance photos as a black man standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He had a goatee and was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, a gray hat and a scarf.
Game Stop is offering a $3,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the robbers' arrest and conviction. Police ask tipsters to call Detective D.R. Johnson at the Smithfield Police Department at 919-934-2121 or the Smithfield Tip Line at 919-989-8835.
