ASIO espionage warnings
Jan 01, 2013 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) --
The Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) has warned the business sector about the risk of cyber attacks. ASIO believes that businesses, particularly owners of essential services, do not have adequate protection against cyber espionage. Cyber attacks are estimated to cost Australia $A4.5 billion a year. ASIO supports national security legislation that will introduce changes to four laws and require telcos and ISPs to retain information for at least two years.
