BRIEF: Katie's Cookies recipe found

Two weeks ago, I asked if any readers had a copy of a recipe for Katie's Cookies that ran in the paper several years ago. A reader had lost her copy and I couldn't locate it in our archives. Two readers responded with a recipe for Katie's Christmas Cookies. The recipe appeared in a 2002 story by former longtime food columnist Helen Moore about the Raleigh Moravian Church cookbook, which at the time was new.
Since the recipe for a spiced cookie with oatmeal and chocolate and butterscotch chips was so intriguing that readers clipped it out and saved it all these years, I thought I'd share it with you again. Enjoy!
