RelayHealth Purchases Ahi Software [Health & Beauty Close - Up]
(Health & Beauty Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) RelayHealth announced it has signed an agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Ahi Software, provider of two KLAS patient access solutions.
According to a release, Ahi Software's solutions will complement RelayHealth's patient access solutions and expertise to support providers who seek to streamline their patient access process for more effective reimbursement and enhanced patient engagement and satisfaction.
Ahi Software and RelayHealth provide patient access solutions that help patient registrars ensure accurate, complete patient registrations, confirm patient eligibility, identify potential sources of charitable care (if appropriate) and provide accurate estimates of patient financial responsibility. They also help enhance patient satisfaction with a paperless patient sign-in solution.
"The RelayHealth team has shown strong commitment to end-to-end revenue cycle success for their customers," said Tony Lopez, CEO, Ahi Software. "The addition of the Ahi Software suite of patient access products to the RelayHealth line of solutions will bring new value to both Ahi Software customers and RelayHealth customers."
"As the patient self-pay portion of healthcare reimbursement has risen, healthcare providers have sought new ways to become more efficient and better engage patients," said Jeff Felton, president, RelayHealth. "This has put great focus on the patient access segment of the healthcare revenue cycle. Adding these number-one in KLAS solutions to their toolkit will help health systems focus on what they do best - provide outstanding care - while optimizing the revenue cycle and helping patients identify sources of funding for the care they receive. The goal is to help enhance the patient experience while ensuring positive revenue cycle outcomes."
RelayHealth, McKesson's connectivity business, enables the secure exchange of clinical, financial and administrative information between patients, providers, payers, pharmacies, pharmaceutical manufacturers and government agencies.
