Computer parts razed in fire [New Straits Time (Malaysia)]
(New Straits Time (Malaysia) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BUKIT MERTAJAM: Computer parts stored in a double-storey shoplot in Jalan Station went up in flames in an early morning fire yesterday.
However, quick action by firemen prevented the fire from spreading to nearby units.
Bukit Mertajam Fire and Rescue Department senior officer 2 Hamid Khalid said no one was injured as the shoplot was not occupied during the 3am incident.
Hamid said 13 firefighters rushed to the scene after getting a distress call at 3.18am and took about 10 minutes to control the fire from spreading to the premises next door.
He said the cause of fire and the losses were being investigated.
