YCM: High-Efficiency Vertical Machining Centers [Manufacturing Engineering]
(Manufacturing Engineering Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Available from YCM Americas Inc., the NTV158 Series of vertical machining centers offer a high rapid feed rate with large Y axis specially designed for mold makers and job shops. The Z-axis dual ballscrew drive system and large roller type guideways on all axes ensure perfect accuracies at high feed rates which is suitable for various heavy cutting applications.
With a unique, YCM Patented T-base structure, the machine footprint can be reduced effectively while an overhang-free table movement is supported by a high-rigid base to ensure dynamic accuracy, with heavy loads on the table.
With YCM's uniquely designed I DD 10,000-rpm spindle, depending on the NTV158 ensures Inline direct transmission and is proven to maximize both spindle and tool life even under harsh working environments.
A high-speed axial movement with roller-type guideways provides dynamic accuracy, durability and rigidity. Double nut high precision Tsubaki ballscrews are directly driven by a servomotor to efficiently eliminate axial backlash and vibration.
NTV158 models include a YCM Control by Fanuc(TM) with high-performance AC digital servo and spindle drives with super precision absolute positioning encoders.
