BRIEF: 2013 Winter Classic T-shirts leaked by online retailer? [Detroit Free Press]
(Detroit Free Press (MI) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Jan. 05--Oh, what could have been.
Sure, the NHL Winter Classic that was supposed to have taken place Tuesday at Michigan Stadium is likely rescheduled for New Years Day 2014. But it still hurts a little bit to look at what could've been merchandise for the big game this week between the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs.
On Wednesday, images of the Red Wings and Maple Leafs Winter Classic T-shirts were leaked on a message board Wednesday. They were downloaded from the database of online retailer FansEdge.com.
The T-shirt designs indicate what the Wings' and Leafs' logos could have looked like for the festivities.
You won't find these shirts available for purchase, unfortunately, but you can at least wait another year, when the Winter Classic actually does take place (assuming a CBA deal gets done, of course).
