Jordan pledges to support EU's election observation mission

Judeh stressed Sunday the country's commitment to facilitate the
work of the European Union's mission to observe the legislative
elections in Jordan, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
At a meeting with David Martin, chief observer of the EU
mission, Judeh was briefed on the tasks of the mission, which was
sent by the EU to observe Jordan's parliamentary elections slated
for Jan. 23.
The minister said the Jordanian government is ready to offer
all support to facilitate the work of the mission, stressing that
the kingdom is keen to hold the voting with highest degrees of
impartiality and transparency in line with the constitution.
Judeh added that the door is open to all to monitor the
elections.
Martin stressed that the mission enjoys all support to conduct
its tasks, voicing appreciation of the government's support in
this regard.
