BRIEF: Electronic equipment, paper can be dropped at church

Residents can dispose of old electronic equipment and paperwork during a Community Green Day event Jan. 26.
E-waste and paper documents can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Rancho Cordova, 2101 Zinfandel Drive, across from Mitchell Middle School.
Items that will be accepted for the e-waste collection include computer monitors, televisions, desktop and laptop computers, computer mice, VCRs, stereo equipment, speakers, keyboards, PDAs, digital cameras, zip drives, telephones, cellphones, printers, copiers, scanners and fax machines.
Up to five banker's boxes of documents per person will be accepted for shredding at no cost. There will be a $10 charge for each box beyond the five boxes.
