BRIEF: Pedestrian outside crosswalk on Warm Springs Road is struck, killed

A 48-year-old man was struck and killed by a car Saturday night while trying to cross Warm Springs Road near Hinson Street.
Metro Police said the accident occurred around 6:15 p.m. Evidence and witness statements indicate that a Toyota SUV was traveling west on Warm Springs Road as a pedestrian tried to cross the road outside a crosswalk, police said.
The SUV hit and killed the man.
Police said the accident remains under investigation.
