California Hospital Expands Cardiovascular Services with Three Toshiba X-Ray Systems
TUSTIN, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
To improve visualization and diagnostic confidence during a wide range
of interventional and EP procedures, California Hospital Medical Center
in Los Angeles installed three InfinixTM-i vascular X-ray
systems from Toshiba (News - Alert) America Medical Systems, Inc.
"Infinix-i's design offers unprecedented access to the patient and
provides images required for neuro, vascular and cardiovascular
procedures by easily covering fingertip-to-fingertip and head-to-toe,"
said Dr. Faye Lee, director, Cardiovascular Service Line, California
Hospital Medical Center. "Advanced dose reduction technologies like
Fluoro Store make exams safer by preventing repeat patient exposure."
California Hospital uses Toshiba's Infinix-i systems to perform general
and peripheral vascular exams, including acute myocardial infarction,
peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC), transjugular intrahepatic
portosystemic shunt (TIPS), coronary, electrophysiology (EP) and radial
procedures.
"California Hospital required a system that offered unrestricted patient
access and would work with their clinicians to see, move and work
better," said Stephen Bumb, director, X-ray Vascular Business Unit,
Toshiba. "Toshiba's Infinix-i with WorkRite technology, featurig the
unconventional five-axis design, enhances ergonomics and line of sight
to display monitors. The result: increased clinician comfort and
productivity."
