A new study has found that 92 percent of companies are now incorporating social media into their marketing efforts. The findings demonstrate just how important social media networks have become and the importance of utilising them within marketing strategies. The results also detail how organisations now aim to co ordinate all media channels including the likes of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+.
Of those who participated in the E-Strategy Trends survey, 76 percent of companies believe ‘they know what their consumers want’ in terms of social media and interaction. Each organisation believed they had considered target audience, what the users would like to see and the best times to post on social media channels. However, only 34 percent of that percentage had asked consumers. Findings also showed that in fact consumers placed a heavy emphasis on deals and promotions rating at 83 percent and reward programs taking up 70 percent of interest.
A further survey by Marketing Charts concluded that whilst three quarters of marketers consider measurement of social media impact important, a huge 70 percent say that measuring those results is difficult.
