Sehnaoui sponsors "IT ConnectSimplifying 2012" exhibition [National News Agency (Lebanon)]
(National News Agency (Lebanon) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NNA - Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sehnaoui on Thursday patronized the opening ceremony of the IT educational institutions exhibition named "IT Connect-Simplifying 2012" held at the headquarters of the Catholic Schools General Secretariat Beit Meri - Ain Najem. The event was organized by Connect association in cooperation with the Catholic Schools? secretariat and Touch Telecom Company.
Minister Sehnaoui spoke on this occasion, assuring that no efforts or energy are being saved to improve the country?s telecom sector, its infrastructure and all the field services provided to the citizens.
He tackled the "tablet for every student" project he announced in Connect 2012 exhibition, which represents a tablet for each student in Lebanon that includes all school curriculums and books? content.
The Minister said the project saw the light in cooperation between the Telecom and the Education Ministries as well as Triple C and Intel companies.
"The testing period will start on April 2013, and based on the results the project will be put into action," Sehnaoui explained, finally thanking the Catholic Schools for the efforts deployed in this field.
