- but I can't help but wonder if the rise and rise of 'click and collect' might just be the saviour of our stores. It sounds like madness.
After all, why would you browse the 'net and then order the object of your desire into a shop Wasn't online retailing supposed to end that trek to town with its parking charges and queues Well yes, it was.
Except parcels go missing, you have to wait days for it to arrive and then what if you're out Click and collect is the best of both worlds - you know your item is available and you can pick it up it when it's convenient.
Genius.
Of course retail experts would have us believe this is a new phenomenon but shoppers know better.
Who would have thought the words 'Argos' and 'trailblazing' would ever be used in the same sentence
