BlackRock Increases 7.15mn Shares in China Telecom

Jan 11, 2013 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- BlackRock, Inc. (NYSE: BLK), a principal shareholder of China Telecom Corporation Limited (SEHK: 0728 and NYSE:CHA), on January 7 increased 7.15 million shares in the company for a total price of HKD 30.65 million, averaging HKD 4.29 per share.


These shares saw the highest closing cost of HKD 4.3 per share. After the increase of holdings, BlackRock holds 1.53 billion shares in China Telecom, accounting for 11.0% of the capital stock.
