ESX Named One of Country's Fastest-Growing Trade Shows
NASHVILLE, Tenn. --(Business Wire)--
The Electronic
Security Expo (ESX) has been named a Fastest 50 winner by Trade Show
Executive magazine, which recognizes the fastest-growing trade shows in
the country. The fast-growing show, which has received much industry
attention for its networking, education and all around team
opportunities, was honored for the percentage of growth in total
attendance for the 2011 event in Charlotte, NC.
"We're honored to have been recognized as one of the fastest-growing
trade shows in the country," says George De Marco, ESX Chair. "Each
year, we continue to enhance the show floor, augment the education
program, and provide numerous networking events for integration and
monitoring companies. This winning formula contributed to ESX being
recognized for its vibrant growth.
"We remain focused on executing our strategy of providing a dynamic
ecosystem for security professionals to experience at ESX, helping them
develop new partnerships, uncover new business opportunities, and
connect with colleagues."
The growth in total attendance from the 2010 event in Pittsburgh to the
2011 event in Charlotte was 15.1%, landing ESX in the Fastest 50 list.
After the 2011 event in Charlotte, the two associations reached the $1
million mark for funds invested back into the industry.
"At a time when most trade shows were battling the Great Recession and
could barely maintain attendance levels of the past, along came the
Electronic Security Expo, achieving a dramatic 15% jump in attendance,"
says Darlene Gudea, president of Trade Show Executive Media Group.
"ESX's attendance growth eclipsed the performance of most shows in
2011," says Gudea, noting that the average tradeshow across a wide
spectrum of industries grew a weak 1.9%, according to Trade Show
Executive's Monthly Dashboard of Trade Show Metrics. "ESX's dramatic
achievement of 15% growth propelled the show into the spotlight as he
45th fastest-growing show in the U.S. in 2011. ESX is a success story
that others can emulate and is a tribute to its organizers," she says.
It's no wonder many have termed ESX the "hottest show" in the security
industry, known for its exclusive focus on the security integration and
monitoring market.
"ESX has grown into the must-attend event for the industry, and since
it's owned by the industry's two largest associations - the Central
Station Alarm Association and the Electronic Security Association -
attending or exhibiting at ESX invests money back into the industry,"
says John Galante, president of AE Ventures, which manages the event.
ESX 2013 will head to Nashville's brand new Music City Center for its
sixth annual event, June 17-21, 2013. The show will feature a brand new
Mobile Apps and Interactive Services track, the return of the NexTech
Seminar Track and Showfloor Space, and the brand new Virtual Workbench
reviews, powered by ESA's Installation and Service Professionals Group,
which will steer industry executives toward the benefits of reviewed new
products.
Registration for the industry's hottest show will open in January.
