BRIEF: KLUV shakes up Jody Dean's morning show

Jan 11, 2013 (Fort Worth Star-Telegram - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- When KLUV/98.7 FM morning host Jody Dean posted on his Facebook page this morning that "In circus terms, the ringmaster is now a Wallenda," I understood the Wallenda reference, but didn't quite get what he was talking about (judging by the comments on the post, most other people didn't, either).

This is at least part of it: AllAccess reports that Bernie Mack, producer and personality for Jody Dean and the Morning Team, is out after eight years. Or as Mack put it on his own Facebook page: "What do Rob Ryan and I have in common Longtime news director Kathy Jones is also out. A station spokeswoman says that there will be no other changes.

KLUV is owned by CBS Radio, which also owns KVIL/103.7 "Lite" FM, which axed the long-running Gene and Julie morning show in early January.
