Watch for Visteon to Potentially Pullback After Gaining 1.11% Yesterday
Jan 11, 2013 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) --
Visteon (NYSE:VC) traded in a range yesterday that spanned from a low of $53.13 to a high of $56.73. Yesterday, the shares gained 1.1%, which took the trading range above the 3-day high of $54.38 on volume of 1.2 million shares. Often times after large one-day gains, short term traders will seek to take profits and, as such, investors should be cautious.
Over the past year, Visteon has traded in a range of $27.04 to $57.00 and is now at $54.77, 103% above that low. In the last five trading sessions, the 50-day moving average (MA) has climbed 1.7% while the 200-day MA has remained constant.
SmarTrend recommended that subscribers consider buying shares of Visteon on November 2nd, 2012 as our proprietary SmarTrend analytics indicated a new Uptrend was in progress when shares hit $49.06. Since that recommendation, shares of Visteon have risen 10.4%. We continue to monitor VC for any potential shift so investors can protect gains and will alert SmarTrend subscribers immediately.
