BT SERVING UP WOMEN'S GAME ; yourmoney [Mirror (UK)]
(Mirror (UK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BT has netted an ace deal by bagging exclusive rights to show women's tennis.
The telecoms giant will show up to 800 hours a year of live tennis featuring some of the world's best tennis players, including Maria Sharapova, on its new sports TV channel, which launches this summer.
The announcement coincides with big interest in the women's game after two British players - Laura Robson and Heather Watson - made the WTA top 50 for the first time since 1987.
