BRIEF: West Side Bank Robbed; APD, FBI Look for Suspect

Jan 12, 2013 (Albuquerque Journal - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Authorities are looking for a man who robbed a West Side bank early this afternoon.

About 12:30 p.m., witnesses said the suspect went into the Bank of Albuquerque at 3301 Coors NW, near Sequoia, and handed a demand note to the teller, according to an FBI news release.

"He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen heading south on foot," the news release states.

The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, between 5- and 6-feet tall, in his mid-30s, with a slender to medium build. He had a dark moustache and wore dark jeans, a light-colored Tshirt, dark jacket and a dark beanie with sunglasses on top, the FBI said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Albuquerque FBI Office at (505) 889-1300 (24 hours) or Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at (505) 843-STOP.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the suspect's arrest and conviction.
