Ricoh Assigned Patent for User Specific Focus Parameters

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 15 -- Ricoh, Tokyo, has been assigned a patent (8,352,477) developed by Yuki Uchida, West Caldwell, N.J., Shun Tanaka, West Caldwell, N.J., and Kazuhiko Kato, West Caldwell, N.J., for "user specific focus parameters."
The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: "Apparatuses, systems and methods are provided for accessing a document management application through a network, wherein one or more key terms and focus terms (selected from user-specific focus parameters) for selected search parameters are transmitted to the document management application for limiting a search to be performed by a search function of the document management application."
