Quintiles Receives Technology Security Award from IDG's CSO Magazine

Quintiles announced today that it has been named to the CSO40 by IDG's CSO magazine for its groundbreaking work establishing highly secure infrastructure.

CSO is a premier content and community resource for security decision makers leading "business risk management" efforts within their organizations. Quintiles was selected for the CSO40 awards based on its "Secure Infrastructure for China" entry.

The CSO40 Awards recognize a select group of 40 organizations that have demonstrated how their security projects / initiatives have created outstanding business value and thought leadership for their companies. The CSO40 Awards are scored according to a uniform set of criteria by a panel of judges that includes security leaders, industry experts, and academics.

Quintiles' expansion and growth in China required a unique approach to meet local market needs. This demanded infrastructure that was lean and flexible without compromising Quintiles' high standards for security and resiliency. The results have been impressive as Quintiles' Chinese subsidiary is able to operate independently, meeting local needs while demonstrating compliance with international regulatory standards.

Baker led the Quintiles team which pioneered the development of IT security infrastructure integrated with business systems which have met local market needs yet provide uncompromising security standards and interoperability with the company's global operations.
