New DENSO BHT-1200 Series 1-D and 2-D Handheld Wireless Barcode Terminals
LONG BEACH, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
DENSO (News - Alert) ADC, the Americas sales arm of DENSO Wave Incorporated, inventor
of the QR Code®, announced its new BHT-1200 Series of 1-D and 2-D
handheld wireless barcode terminals. By making barcode scanning quicker
and easier, the devices increase operator efficiency.

The terminals' ergonomic design, which features a slim handle and
built-in hand strap, makes them easy to hold for long periods of time. A
specially arranged keypad, including 12 function keys, allows the
devices to be operated with only one hand or even with just a thumb. A
large, 3.5-inch HVGA color display lets the operator quickly see large
amounts of information at a single glance.
DENSO's advanced charge-coupled device (CCD) technology enables the
BHT-1200 terminals to read codes at 400 scans per second, three times as
fast as conventional laser scanners. The devices can read even
complicated or damaged codes at high speed, permitting fast,
uninterrupted scanning. In addition, they can read codes from as far
away as 25 feet or more, allowing the operator to scan items on all
shelves from floor to ceiling without having to change position or use a
stepladder. A built-in 5.0-megapixel camera enables hotos of defective
or mislabeled products to be taken without the need to carry a separate
camera.
The devices also feature fast, reliable wireless communication that
supports the latest IEEE802.11b/g/n standards, eliminating bottlenecks
due to slow data transmission. Highly reliable WPA/WPA2 network security
prevents unauthorized access to data.
Like all DENSO terminals, the BHT-1200 Series models have an extremely
robust construction. The devices have been tested to resist damage after
being dropped onto a concrete floor 30 times from 1.5 meters (4.9 feet).
"The BHT-1200 Series terminals feature our latest advances in
high-performance technology, all designed to make scanning quicker and
easier," said Fran Labun, vice president, Sales Group. "They offer our
customers a way of increasing operator efficiency for even their most
demanding applications."
