BRIEF: AT&T boosts local coverage [Ocala Star-Banner, Fla.]

(Ocala Star-Banner (FL) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Jan. 19--AT&T has boosted mobile Internet coverage at more than 40 cell tower sites throughout Gainesville and Ocala, the company announced Friday.

The network enhancement adds new layers of frequency known as carriers, increasing mobile broadband capacity and more efficiently managing the available spectrum, the company said in a news release. The carriers should improve mobile Internet coverage and voice performance.
