Community Foundation selects leadership
The Community Foundation Serving Greeley and Weld County has elected a Windsor attorney as its 2013 chairperson, the group said Friday. Michael Payne, a graduate of the University of Kansas, specializes in commercial real estate at Greeley law firm Otis, Coan and Peters, LLC.
Other new board officers include Vice-Chair Tim Ulrich, a loan analyst at Points West Community Bank. Retired businessman Wes Goehring was re-elected secretary. Commercial real estate broker Nick Berryman will continue to serve as treasurer.
Payne announced the appointment of new board members Nora Garza and Christine Richardson, both of Greeley. Former chairperson Karen Burd remains on the foundation's executive committee.
The Community Foundation Serving Greeley and Weld County is connecting philanthropic donors with nonprofits. Since 1997, it has given out more than $13 million in grants and scholarships to local students.
