Vodafone reverses decision to lift rates after backlash
Jan 20, 2013 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) --
Australia's third-ranked telco has backed down on a plan to charge pre-paid mobile telephone users for each megabyte of data they use. Vodafone Hutchison Australia will use the data pricing system of rival telcos, whereby customers are charged by the kilobyte. Cormac Hodgkinson of Vodafone says the new data regime will apply to all of its pre-paid customers, and stresses that the telco is listening to customers' concerns.
