DaVita Closes Deal to Provide Dialysis Services in Taiwan
DENVER & TAIPEI, Taiwan --(Business Wire)--
DaVita®, the kidney care division of DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc.
(NYSE: DVA) and a leading provider of kidney care services, today
announced the formation of a joint venture with Riches Healthcare (RHC),
through which a new entity - DaVita Taiwan - will provide services to
four dialysis clinics. DaVita will own a majority share of the joint
venture entity.
"Expanding our presence into Taiwan is a key step in our long-term
growth strategy in Asia," said Dennis Kogod, chief operating officer at
DaVita.
The four clinics currently serviced by RHC are located in and around
Taipei, have a combined number of 88 stations and are providing
hemodialysis treatments to more than 250 patients.
