Proposed law leaves intersex 'vulnerable'

Jan 20, 2013 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Organisation Intersex International Australia president Gina Wilson has expressed concern about the potential implications of reforms to anti-discrimination laws on intersex people. Wilson says intersex is biological rather than an issue of gender identity, and such people should therefore not be classified in terms of gender identity in the draft bill. She adds that intersex people must deal with discrimination on a daily basis.
