AlertEnterprise's Enterprise Sentry™ and Enterprise Guardian™ Security Products Become SAP-Endorsed Business Solutions
LAS VEGAS --(Business Wire)--
AlertEnterprise today announced that its Enterprise Guardian™ and
Enterprise Sentry™ products are now available as SAP (News - Alert)-endorsed business
solutions. For customers and organizations with sensitive facilities,
equipment and infrastructure, AlertEnterprise Enterprise Guardian and
Enterprise Sentry - integrated with SAP® applications - provides
critical infrastructure protection and physical security, primarily for
industries including utilities, oil & gas, transportation, federal and
life sciences, via the convergence of IT and operational technologies
(OT). AlertEnterprise is one of the first SAP partners to deliver
solutions for physical and operational security that integrate with SAP
ERP application data for advanced security and monitoring.
Features provided by Enterprise Guardian and Enterprise Sentry support
new scenarios for detection and response to potential threats and
possible attacks by correlating system and event data across the silos
of IT, physical security and industrial control systems. AlertEnterprise
is able to deliver these capabilities through integration of its
Enterprise Guardian and Enterprise Sentry solutions with SAP
applications and the SAP HANA® database to correlate events and detect
alerts in real time. AlertEnterprise Enterprise Sentry and Enterprise
Guardian integrate with SAP ERP, the SAP ERP Human Capital Management
(SAP ERP HCM), and the SAP Enterprise Asset Management (SAP EAM)
solutions to enable threat prevention and proactive, timely, incident
response for protection of critical infrastructure.
"Asset-intensive industries like utilities, energy, chemicals and
transportation make up a significant portion of the nation's critical
infrastructure," said Jasvir Gill, founder and CEO of AlertEnterprise.
"AlertEnterprise solutions deliver IT-OT convergence that enables
customers to enhance operational reliability, protect operating assets,
and respond instantly to multiple complex threats that might otherwise
go unnoticed."
Evolving regulations, standards and best-practice frameworks (e.g., NERC
CIP, CFATS, MTSA, NIST SP800-xx and HITRUST) require monitoring of
physical access controls and tracking of access to critical assets.
Convergence (News - Alert) technology from AlertEnterprise automates these processes
and extends the capabilities of the SAP Access Control application to
automate Segregation of Duty (SoD) and compliance management for
critical industries.
"An important part of our national security is related to protecting the
nation's power grid and gas distribution," commented Kevin McCollom,
vice president, GRC Solution Management, SAP. "Early detection of
potential issues is now made easier with the ability to correlate
billions of IT system transactions, physical events, and operational
events and data through these endorsed solutions from AlertEnterprise
integrated with SAP solutions. AlertEnterprise's Enterprise Guardian and
Enterprise Sentry solutions - used together with SAP HANA - show the
power of SAP HANA, delivering capabilities that enable detection and
early response to these critical security issues."
Solutions endorsed by SAP are complementary to SAP software offerings,
are developed in accordance with SAP development guidelines, and provide
additional choices and flexibility for businesses running SAP
applications.
