China power load of grid network records new high in Jan
BEIJING, Jan 21, 2013 (Xinhua via COMTEX) --
The power load of China's power
grid network kept growing fast in January, and it had topped the
highest load in 2012 for six times with each time surpassing 670
million kilowatts.
According statistics from the State Electricity Regulatory
Commission, the daily power load of grid network averaged 677.3
million kilowatts during the January 1-20 period, rising 8.2 million
kilowatts or 1.2 percent on year.
What's more, the daily power load in January 18-20 all
witnessed growths of more than 30 percent, and the highest growth
peaked 35.5 percent on year.
Experts noted that the surge in power load since the beginning
of January was directly related to the peak season for winter heating
as well as the recovering economy in China. (Edited by Li Xiaohui,
