A healthy operating margin is required for a company to pay for its fixed costs and generate cash.Susser Holdings ranks lowest with a an operating margin of 1.8%. Following is Kroger with a an operating margin of 2.7%. Village Super Market ranks third lowest with a an operating margin of 2.9%.
Casey's General Stores follows with a an operating margin of 3.2%, and Ruddick rounds out the bottom five with a an operating margin of 3.5%.
