BRIEF: LaGrange man arrested for possession of child pornography

Police in LaGrange, Ga. have arrested 28-year-old Andrew Scott of Briarcliff Road in LaGrange and charged him with 14 counts of sexual exploitation of children. Police say he was in possession of child pornography. He is in the Troup County Jail.
According to the police report, he was arrested at 7:30 a.m. today at his home.
Police say images and videos of suspected child pornography were located on a computer belonging to Scott.
The LaGrange Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, affiliated with the State of Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, began an investigation on Dec. 28 of an IP address within LaGrange offering for trade images of suspected child pornography via a peer to peer network.
Police say the investigation revealed that the IP address was issued to a Charter Communications Account held by Scott.
