Symphony Senior Living Aspen Ridge continues good faith negotiations with AUPE until resulting in postponement of lockout and strike
RED DEER, AB, Jan. 25, 2013, 2013 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) --
As a result of ongoing good faith negotiations both Symphony Senior
Living and the AUPE have confirmed a temporary agreement to postpone
the lockout and the strike for 72 hours to provide time for continued
negotiations. Should a mutually acceptable agreement not occur, both
the lockout and the strike will commence on Monday, January 28, 2013 at
1pm as planned.
Following 18 months of ongoing
negotiations with the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees ("AUPE"),
Symphony Senior Living Aspen Ridge ("Aspen Ridge") received a strike
notice, responded with a lockout notice and fully prepared operations
to strike on Friday, January 25, 2013, originally to commence at 1pm.
Throughout negotiations, Symphony Senior Living maintains its commitment
to divert disruption of services to our residents, staff and the
surrounding area.
Symphony's purpose is to develop, acquire and manage beautiful senior
living communities in North America, where we deliver compassionate
dignified care and a full spectrum of supportive services.
