Hungry? Eden Garden is an earthly paradise

This week one of my co-workers tipped me off about a great place to have lunch. The place is Eden Garden Fusion Grill, located at A and Fourth streets in Upland.
Eden Garden's dining area has a modern flair, with black and white decor, attractive lighting and a small bar. There also is a very nice covered patio with a decorative water feature -- perfect for a special occasion or large group. The patio also has a few heat lamps set up to help keep customers comfortable on chilly evenings.
Eden Garden's menu features an interesting selection of 17 hot and 14 cold appetizers, salads from $7 to $12, seafood, pasta and sandwiches starting at $7 and Mediterranean items such as beef, lamb, kefta or chicken kabobs, chicken shawarma,
makanek (Lebanese sausage) for $10, grilled salmon for $13 and many other choices.
I ordered the Eden burger with fries for $8. I know, not very daring, but that's what I was in the mood for.
My lunch arrived shortly and it was excellent. The sesame seed bun was lightly toasted with a large, juicy hamburger patty (grilled to order) topped with melted cheese, two slices of fresh tomato, Romaine lettuce and grilled onion. The shoestring fries took up about half the plate and were quite tasty -- lightly seasoned with oregano, thyme and rosemary.
It was the best hamburger I've had in quite some time, which will make my decision more difficult, the next time I visit. I will try, though, to sample some of the more exotic
fare, such as the falafel plate or the soujok.
Eden Garden's menu also features a few desserts like bread pudding served with strawberry-topped ice cream and caramel sauce, tiramisu, creme brulee and more.
My dining experience was top-notch, with great service, delicious food and spot-on prices.
