(Boston Herald (MA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Jan. 30--Cumberland Farms said today it has launched a free program that lets customers pay for gas and in-store purchases using a mobile phone or with the swipe of a card.
After enrolling online, users of the SmartPay Check-LinkSM system will automatically save 10 cents on every gallon of gas, the Framingham-based convenience and gas retailer said.
The app is available to download for free from iTunes or the Android store.
SmartPay Check-Link is an upgrade from the first release of SmartPay, which was launched in April in partnership with PayPal, the company said.
