Laramie County Library System Adds 13 of AWE's Computer Workstations for Children to its Libraries

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Chester, PA (PRWEB) January 31, 2013 AWE announced today that the Laramie County Library System in Wyoming has acquired 13 of its all-in-one computer solutions nine Early Literacy Station™ and four AfterSchool Edge™ units for its library system.

The Early Literacy Station is an all-in-one computer system designed for children ages 2-8. It contains over 60 pre-loaded educational software programs and a child-friendly interface that allows children to explore and learn independently. The AfterSchool Edge features content for ages 6-14. Both products offer children a safe, standalone computer that does not require an Internet connection to operate. The content spans all curriculum areas: reading, math, science, social studies, writing, arts and music, and reference.

“After reviewing the Early Literacy Station and AfterSchool Edge and seeing how valuable they are to other communities, we decided to purchase them for our branches,” says Lucie P. Osborn, County Librarian. “We are dedicated to providing educational resources to the Laramie County community.” “AWE’s mission mirrors the library’s mission of promoting and enabling lifelong learning so these computers are a perfect fit. We see the AfterSchool Edge computers as important homework-help stations for older elementary school children, as well,” she adds.

AWE’s flagship product, the Early Literacy Station, is found in over 35% of the public library systems across the United States. The Early Literacy Station is available in English, Bilingual Spanish, and Bilingual French editions. The AfterSchool Edge is currently available in English.
