BRIEF: Interactive: See Sacramento outlook for nearly every job
Jan 31, 2013 (The Sacramento Bee - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
The number of jobs in the Sacramento region will increase 16 percent this decade as the population grows and the economy continues to recover, according to new projections from the state Employment Development Department.
Jobs in health care, food service and sales will see the quickest growth, while jobs in agriculture and manufacturing will only grow slowly.
The EDD projections for the Sacramento metro region -- which includes Sacramento, Placer, Yolo and El Dorado Counties -- mirrored its 2020 job outlook for the state. The number of jobs will also increase by roughly 16 percent statewide, compared to a projected 9 percent rise in California population.
This database shows the projected growth in jobs across the state during the next decade in the Sacramento region.
