BRIEF: Naugatuck Cumberland Farms Robbed
NAUGATUCK, Feb 03, 2013 (The Hartford Courant - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
A Cumberland farms on North Main Street was robbed early Friday morning.
According to report from the Naugatuck Police Department, a single suspect, described as a thin white male entered the store at about 3:20 a.m. dressed in black with a black scarf covering his face.
The man displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money, police said. The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled the store.
Police said the suspect got into a dark colored SUV and drove north on Rte. 8. No one was injured and no shots were fired. Anyone with more information about this incident is asked to contact the Naugatuck Police Department 203-729-5222. Police said all calls can be kept confidential.
