SSGCdevelops mobile App for making gas bill information available on Nokia sets
(Daily Messenger (Pakistan) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SSGC has become Pakistan’s first utility Company to develop a mobile App that makes available relevant gas bill information on compatible Nokia mobile phones. The App Development follows a strategic agreement signed last year in this regard between Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and Nokia. Customers can now download SSGC App by logging onto Nokia Store (http://store.ovi.com). SSGC App will also come built-in in all future Nokia handsets in Pakistan.
The SSGC App provides three key features -Bill Details, Bill and Payment History and Meter Information. Bill Details allow the user to view current month’s bill details including total amount due and due date; Bill and Payment History lets the user view previous three months’ bill history and payment history for previous payment dates andMeter Information gives up-to-date information on user’s current and previous months’ meter readings. While explaining the need for developing the mobile App, Zuhair Siddiqui, MD, SSGC said, “In today’s digital age, SSGC wants to take its services to the next level by making them easily accessible on mobilephones. Since our customers’ are leading extremely frenzied lifestyles, they find it cumbersome to call Customer Service for required bill information. Now with mobiles becoming one of the most common communication tools, the information they require regarding their gas bills is now available right ontheir mobile sets.”
SSGC App has been designed to allow our customers with compatible Nokia phones to check billing details, view bill payment history as well as track other related information without waiting for the paper bill to be delivered at their homes,” the MD further added.
