BRIEF: Police report stolen camera [Odessa American, Texas]
(Odessa American (TX) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Feb. 06--Odessa police say someone took a $175 digital camera from the police station that is used to photograph juveniles in custody.
The camera is kept in the juvenile processing room, according to Cpl. Sherrie Carruth, police spokeswoman. But Carruth said it's unclear when and from where the camera was taken, as well as who took it.
Police don't lock the camera up because the processing room is usually for employees only or citizens who are escorted by employees, Carruth said.
The theft was reported at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to a police incident report. The camera is blue and its make is Olympus.
