Graduate trio join Optimus [Herald, The (Plymouth, England)]
(Herald, The (Plymouth, England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ONLINE marketing agency Optimus Performance Marketing has recruited three Plymouth University graduates.
Stephen Putt, Runa Reno and David Sigley who graduated last September, have joined the growing company to help with plans to grow its UK business, expand into European markets, and development in-house software.
All three completed a placement year with Optimus in 2011 and were offered full-time positions on finishing their final year studies.
Stephen joins as senior account manager to look after national marketing campaigns for large brands including SpaceNK, Mattress Man, and Elemis.
Runa becomes head of European development to help the firm's German office and the expansion into EU territories for Optimus clients. The German branch was established last March and is managing more than 30 client accounts across Europe including brands such as Crocs, M and M Direct, and German electronics company Comptech. David joins as head of technical development, working on building new technology products for the Plymouth-based business.
Mark Russell, Optimus managing director, said: "Stephen, Runa and David bring valuable qualities and experience to an already dynamic team.
"We are looking to expand into more countries and build our already successful business.
"We have always looked to support local people and try to recruit from the local area."
Optimus was set up in 2006, employs 15 people in the UK and Germany, with more recruits being searched for.
It has been awarded best agency in the UK four times and grown to manage more than 100 affiliate marketing campaigns.
