Feb 07, 2013 (Duluth News Tribune - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
A joint investigation of recent armed or attempted armed robberies of gas stations in Douglas, Bayfield and Washburn counties has led to a number of arrests, the Bayfield County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday.
Investigation into the robberies continues, and the names, ages and addresses of the arrested suspects will not be released until they appear in court-of-bond hearings.
On Tuesday, the Bayfield County Sheriff's Office reported that two men, at least one armed with a handgun, attempted to rob the Triple G Gas Station in Cable, Wis., on Monday evening. The two left after the clerk told them that she did not have access to the station's money.
