Freight, Finance record wins in Kanoo Inter-Division Cricket

Kanoo Freight and Kanoo Finance recorded victories over AXA insurance and Kanoo Commercial respectively in the Kanoo Inter-Division Cricket Tournament in Riyadh.
Kanoo Freight won the toss scored 96 for 7 off their allotted overs against AXA Insurance. Qadir and Bashir posted 36 runs for the opening wicket with Qadir contributing 19 and Bashir 11.
Ranjith later propped up the innings with an unbeaten 29 while Vasanth got 16. Muzaffar took 2 wickets for AXA insurance. Chasing modest score, AXA Insurance were restricted to 73 for 8.
For Kanoo Freight, Qadir took 3 wickets while Ranjith and Vasanth bagged 2 each. In another match, Kanoo Commercial after winning the toss and electing to bat first scored 99 for 4. Zahir scored a quick-fire 39. Riyaz supported him with 13 runs. Arun and Kiri bagged a wicket each for Finance.
Chasing the target Kanoo Finance romped home in 10th over for the loss of 4 wickets. Touse (36) and Jafar 32 batted well and were top-scorers for Finance. Zahir was the most successful bowler for Commercial with 3 wickets.
In last week matches Freight beat Finance by 26 runs. Freight scored 89 for 6 after they batted first. Ranjith (33) and Vasanth (29) batted well for Freight. For Finance Arun P took 2 wickets.
Chasing a modest target Finance was bowled out for 63 runs. Hari played well and top-scored with 23 runs. Vasanth and Qadir took 2 wickets.
In another match AXA Insurance beat Travels in a thriller. AXA Insurance scored 104 for 1 in their allotted overs after they made first use of the pitch. For AXA insurance Asmath top-scored with an unbeaten 48. He supported by Hakim, who also was unbeaten with 35.
In reply Travels started well with Riaz (44) and Shafee (26) as the smashed 59 runs for the opening wicket.
However, other batsman failed to keep up the pace and Travels was restricted to 103 for 4. Riju (19) was the other notable scorer in Travels total. Muzzaffar and Hakim took a wicket each for AXA insurance.
