BRIEF: Lee to serve as intern

Shaquanna Lee is serving as an intern during session for Rep. Garland E. Pierce of Wagram.
Lee is a 2010 Scotland High School graduate.
She is the daughter of Curtis Dockery Jr. and Linda Lee of Laurinburg.
"It is truly an honor to serve as an intern at the North Carolina General Assembly,"Lee said. "Being a junior at North Carolina Central University the opportunity to serve a part of an office in government is unlikely, considering the high fluctuation of students that are in daily competition amongst one another. Fortunately with my hard work ethic and devoted dedication for education I was granted the opportunity to serve as an intern. This internship is important to me because it gives me the chance to have insight from a personal perspective on governmental issues. Not only do I get to see how Bills are formulated, I also get to see if they are going to be passed and placed into effect."
She is majoring in political science.
