Evogen, Inc. Adds New Talent to Management Team

Evogen gains depth and expertise with the addition of two new executives.. The industry veterans will position Evogen as a provider of point-of care diagnostics for infectious disease and reinvigorate Sceptor Industries as a leader of sensitive sample collection for government and private sector needs.

The newest members to the executive team are well-known industry leaders:

Hans Kastensmith, President & CEO, comes to Evogen with 23 years of progressive achievements in healthcare. Mr. Kastensmith founded, managed, established financing for and advised a number of healthcare technology and population health management companies. Mr. Kastensmith has significant experience in running both private and public healthcare enterprises and led three corporate acquisitions for a public company. In addition, Mr. Kastensmith maintains vast global networks of high profile relationships in the healthcare/diagnostics industry nd government entities and serves as Chairman of several Boards.

Robert Dondes, Chief Operating Officer, is an accomplished executive with c-suite experience in private and publicly traded healthcare companies. With a proven record of exceeding corporate financial and operational objectives, Mr. Dondes also sits on the board of a major medical device company. Mr. Dondes brings in-depth knowledge of the investment business, having worked as a senior advisor with several private equity and venture capital management companies. Further, Mr. Dondes' tenure as a managed care CEO brings insight that will serve Evogen well in the current climate of accountable care organizations and healthcare reform.
