Oregon woman arrested after leading troopers on chase in Wood County

NORTH BALTIMORE, Ohio --Bond was set at $45,000 today for an Oregon woman accused of leading Ohio Highway Patrol troopers on a chase in Wood County that ended when she allegedly rammed a patrol car.
During her arraignment by video at Bowling Green Municipal Court, Meganne McGill, 22, was ordered held at the Wood County jail in lieu of the set bond pending a preliminary hearing Feb. 20, according to the Wood County Sheriff's Office. She had been charged with failure to comply, felony fleeing and eluding, driving under the influence, and reckless operation.
About 12:25 a.m. today, a state trooper heading southbound on I-75 just north of North Baltimore observed a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am driving at a high-rated speed and attempted to stop it, according to the patrol. The car did not stop and a 12-minute, 16-mile pursuit at speeds of more than 100 mph ensued on I-75 to westbound State Rt. 12. The driver drove around stop sticks placed by authorities, and the car was boxed in a few miles down the road, at which time the driver struck a patrol car and stopped, the patrol said.
The driver was arrested without further incident. There were no injuries.
The patrol said Ms. McGill had blood alcohol count of 0.249, which is more than three times the legal limit of 0.08. She had a prior driving under the influence conviction in 2012, according to the patrol.
North Baltimore is about 32 miles south of Toledo.
