NETWORK PROBLEMS HIT PHONES [Liverpool Echo (England)]
(Liverpool Echo (England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MOBILE phone users in Merseyside have been hit by 'network' problems.
Vodaphone customers contacted the ECHO saying they were having problems with their handsets.
Bosses last night confirmed there was a "network issue" which may be affecting customers in the area.
They were unsure when the problem would fixed but said a team was investigating as a matter of priority.
The fault was affecting customers intermittently in areas across Merseyside.
Businessman Mike Lane, from Childwall, who has a TV aerial company, said the fault had caused him problems over the past four days.
He said: "I've lost Pounds 100s of pounds in takings."
A spokeswoman for Vodaphone said: "Our network team continue to investigate as a matter of priority and we would like to apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused."
